Good Performance - Appearance different than photos

From the bottom it looks like the photo I see now doing the review, but other pictures showed it much wider compared to its depth. It performs fine, and works well with the LED lamp (Cree 6W or 9W, I believe) that some people say won't hold up in a sealed fixture. The appearance being different than I expected is the only issue. The sides of the glass are quite vertical and not shallow.

This is a nice looking light for the price. The quality is good and looks very nautical. I purchased it to light my seaside cottage's countertop.
