very poor quality

After shopping high and low for this style of light to hard wire over our bed, I finally ordered this light as it was the best price I could find on this style. The ability to hard wire was essential and I just couldn't see spending nearly $400 a piece on other lights of same style. After a snafu where we were shipped the wrong items entirely, Amazon responded quickly and over nighted the correct items to us! they were great! But when we opened the box we were surprised at how "cheap" these lights are. My husband, an electrician, installed them into NEW construction...hardwired to a box and they would not lay flush to the wall, the switches were faulty...light flashing on and off, one switch was so hard to push on or off that it was useless. My husband's comment was, "if we'd paid $25 or less, i might have figured out a way to make it work even if i had to replace the switch...but not for $100+ each."We were very disappointed and returned both lights.

Great light

I needed bed reading lights that would wall mount to electrical boxes with their own switches. They are a lot less common than I would have imagined.
This one is attractive and a good power for reading. The one watt model would have been insufficient. The gooseneck moves easily but stays in place.
