We have the exact lamp pictured and it doesn't fit!

So the lamp that we bought a few years ago came with a tiffany style shade that I have never liked. We are remodeling out bedroom and I decided to get a new shade, good luck! Well, I searched all over the web and there's lots of lamp shades available but it's rare when they show a picture of the metal hole that you will be attaching to the lamp, much less give the dimensions. This one didn't either but I figured that since it is the exact lamp that we have, it's gotta fit, right??? Wrong! Well thankfully my husband is handy and I told him I didn't care what the inside ended up looking like. He tried grinding it out since is was just a hair too small, no good. Next, he tried cutting the ring and squashing the side, that got us close. A little more destruction and we were there. Fortunately this particular lamp is not solely dependent upon the shade screwing on but has a ring that screws on to hold the shade in place and we just used that and are up and running. All that being said, the shade is a nice shade but the color is not accurate. The color is not an off white as pictured but more of a dirty cream. It's perfect for my purposes, better than pictured but if you were hoping for a white or off white, this is not for you.
