ok for the money

For the money it was a good buy, it has a sturdy base so it doesn't tip easy. Be careful shutting it off though the switch is right above the light bulb dome and the switch gets very hot, probably not good for kids.

Play Small Ball

The only catch is that the Curly-Q CFLs, even the low wattage ones, are big enough such that their far ends stick out and above the "bowl" of this lamp. But I'm using a low wattage (15W) incandescent bulb with this; for me it's not a worry.
