Not Impressed

This item is VERY CHEAPLY built. I ordered two, and one came with one of the LED's not working. I was praying the entire time I was putting in the batteries that I didn't break the thing. I might pay $5 bucks for this but $15 is WAY overpriced.
6/6/2008 - Update I received a replacement for the original light and this one had only TWO lights that worked!!! AVOID THIS PRODUCT - ITS WORTHLESS!!!

a waste of money

a waste of money and worked once-and no more-did not give enough light and did not adhere too well on cleaned surface-per directions-easier to use a flashlight!!!!!!

Excellent for truck drivers

I bought these at Walmart online using site-to-store for free shipping. They are cheaply built but I absolutely love these. I cannot attest to their longevity since I have only had them for a few days but so far they have exceeded my expectations. If you are a truck driver, these are perfect for the bunk area or any area where extra light is needed. They are very bright and the ability to direct the light is an invaluable feature. Other reviewers mentioned that they had trouble getting them to stick to a surface. I have three attached to textured plastic in my truck which has resisted duct tape and 3M Command Strip hooks but, so far, these lights are staying put despite being hung upside down and enduring long, bumpy rides every day.
I highly recommend this product, especially for truck drivers.
Update: I would still recommend these for truckers but have noticed an annoying problem. The removable light is not very secure on the base. When you slide it on, there is nothing to lock it in place. I'm finding that they occasionally fall off the base from bumps in the road and even in just bumping it to turn it on or off requires that it be slid back into place.
