Great system with a couple of flaws.

I was looking for something to replace my rc6000 system. The transmitter addresses two channels and is programmable to address up to eight channels, two at a time. The receivers can address the same eight channels. The system works beautifully and allows for multiple room operation by simply reprogramming the transmitter. There are five stages of dim plus full on. Personally, I would have preferred a continuously varible dim instead, plus full on. In photography you don't always know exactly how much light is necessary. If this had been four channels, this would have been perfect. There's one factor in it's operation that is not explained to clearly in the instructions. This is a press and hold system, meaning you may have to wait as much as two seconds for the function to execute. Once you understand this, everything works well.
Nevertheless, this is a great system that works flawlessly and allows a great deal of flexibility in sophisticated photography lighting with just one remote.

I love these things and I wish I knew about them years ago. You do have to wait a second or two between button presses, but I'm not sitting there constantly turning it on and off or dimming it. Set the dim level and it remembers it so you can then just turn it on and off. Very cool item. I'm getting more. Tip: Set the dim level you want and then press "Dim" to turn the light on, don't use "On". "Off" to turn it off. ;)

I use it as a dimmable lamp controller for built-in wall units. Works great. Only unit of its kind available at reasonable price. Only complaint would be unit has 5 stages of dimming, not continuously variable.
