Arm does not swing --

This light is perfect - except the 'swing arm' doesn't swing! There are two joints that should swing - the outer one which extends the light to it's fullest reach and the joint right where the arm attaches to the wall plate. The outer joint works great. The inner joint doesn't swing without a LOT of pressure. So much so that we weren't sure the joint was even supposed to swing. Plus the wall plate is not substantial enough to take the needed pressure without bending.
This company appears to be out of business (check the website for Park Madison Lighting - old website from 2009 and a no longer working phone number) as I wanted to check with them to verify that BOTH joints should indeed swing (like they do in the light we are replacing).
We will make this work by mounting the light on a block of oak and reinforcing the plate to which the swing arm is attached. After doing this, I think we'll be able to loosen the inside joint up.
Other than that, we love the lamp - in fact bought two of them. Both, by the way, are the same - only one joint that swings.
I'm sure Amazon would take the lights back but for the price we'll make them work the way we want! The brushed brass finish is very nice.

difficult to assemble

LIKE ANOTHER REVIEWER, I ALSO FOUND THAT THE PIVOT AT THE PLATE DOESN"T MOVE. IN ADDITION, THE 2
SCREWS THAT GO FROM THE WALL PLATE THROUGH THE FACE PLATE ARE 1) TOO LONG FOR THE KNOBS THAT ATTACH
TO THEM AND 2) THE NUTS THAT HOLD THE SCREWS TO THE WALL PLATE ARE TOO SMALL TO PROPERLY HOLD THE SCREWS
SO THAT THEY DON"T TURN WHILE YOU ATTACH THE KNOBS. I HAD TO USE DUCT TAPE TO HOLD THE SCREWS FROM
TURNING. IT TOOK MUCH LONGER TO ASSEMBLE THAT I THOUGHT, INCLUDING GOING TO THE HARDWARE STORE TO GET THE RIGHT SIZE SCREWS.
