There always seems to be a spot in the kitchen where you need more light to work or read a recipe. This lamp does that and fits perfectly under my new cabinets (14" overall height) If you've been looking at accent lamps, you know it's hard to find one that takes a 60watt bulb...this one does! It's so much more appealing than a retina-frying spotlight-style lamp. And, it has a 2-position switch that allows for partial or full wattage. It lends a cozy glow to the room when used alone, too. The lamp is small but has a nice balance. The painted birds and berries are done in subtle shades with a rich texture. Can you tell I'm happy with it? Delivery was prompt and packaging was adequate.

I needed a small lamp for a bookcase that was not overly decorative. This lamp is nicely adorned with birds and flowers, and it is very well made. It has a switch on the cord that provides both dim or conventional illumination.
