Not bright enough for a kitchen

I purchased this light to go over our kitchen counter and to go with this light http://8.5str.info/gp/product/B0015N377O/ref=oh__o03_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
which is incandescent, I would think they would be the same type of bulb. 15w fluorescent is not bright enough to be in a kitchen. I will be returning this light as soon as I find a replacement.
